18456 (2026). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What process is the Minister required to undertake in order to appoint members of the six new regional committees and one national committee following changes to the structure of lottery distribution committees?

Hon Brooke van Velden: The appointment process will follow the normal process of seeking nominations, assessing candidates against the selection criteria and identifying preferred candidates. Then the proposed appointments are considered by the Cabinet Appointments and Honours Committee and Cabinet before the Minister finalises the appointments.
