18267 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: How many people, if any, were on a waiting list or deferred for emergency housing at any point since 27 November 2023, broken down by region?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) that such waiting lists do not exist. When people approach the Ministry with immediate high housing needs, the Ministry will ensure that they have a safe place to stay. This may include providing help with costs to board or rent or transitional housing options or providing assistance through an Emergency Housing Grant.
