18225 (2026). Vanushi Walters to the Prime Minister: Did the Prime Minister seek or receive advice on whether New Zealand publicly supporting the US-led military action against Iran could affect New Zealand's standing or credibility in multilateral institutions, including the United Nations?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as Prime Minister, I regularly receive and request advice from a range of officials including from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet relating to foreign affairs. This includes New Zealand’s various equities related to the situation in Iran since the US and Israel initiated strikes on the 28 February 2026.
