Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How many Kāinga Ora social housing projects were cancelled, paused, or discontinued between 27 November 2023 and 18 June 2025, being the date prior to the published pipeline assessment, broken down by (a) territorial local authority, (b) the number of planned homes in each project, and (c) the reason for cancellation?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it is not possible to provide this information without diverting a significant amount of staff resources from their core duties. In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 210/6, I consider that the time and expense of answering the Member’s question is not in the public interest.
