18201 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Associate Minister of Transport: What discussions, if any, has the Minister of Transport and/or officials had with Air New Zealand about the airline's jet fuel supply outlook for the period from May to September 2026, and has the airline indicated any risk of further schedule reductions beyond those already announced?
Hon James Meager: Officials and I are in regular communication with Air New Zealand representatives, including on matters relating to fuel supply. New Zealand's jet fuel supply continues to be within normal levels.
The Government is not involved in the day-to-day operational decisions of Air New Zealand or other airlines.
Airlines make scheduling decisions on a commercial basis and communicate any changes directly to customers accordingly.
