18182 (2026). Arena Williams to the Minister for Building and Construction: What guidance, if any, will councils receive on the documentation requirements for a structural insulated panels granny flat?

Hon Chris Penk: The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment will ensure its publicly available guidance for non-consented small stand-alone dwellings includes guidance on Structural Insulated Panel systems (SIPs) once these are in Schedule 1A of the Building Act 2004.
