18173 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Associate Minister of Finance: What was the total cost of disestablishing the New Zealand Productivity Commission, and how much of that cost was incurred by or transferred to the Ministry for Regulation, if any?

Hon David Seymour: The Productivity Commission reported $0.810 million of disestablishment expenses in their final 2023/24 Annual Report. In addition, the Treasury has spent $0.372 million to 28 April 2025 on the disestablishment of the New Zealand Productivity Commission. None of these costs were incurred by or transferred to the Ministry for Regulation.
