18170 (2026). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for ACC: What independent validation has been undertaken on the current Accident Compensation Corporation motorcycle levy model, if any?

Hon Scott Simpson: As part of the 2024 levy consultation process, MBIE procured an external review of the levies. Independent actuarial advisors Finity were contracted to conduct a quality assurance review that included advising on the appropriateness and reasonableness of ACC’s proposed levy rates for 2025-28. The proposed levies were found to be appropriate and within a reasonable actuarial range. The Finity review was publicly released and is available on MBIE’s website: OIA request for a copy of actuarial quality assurance report relating to the rehabilitation performance of ACC.
