18032 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Vocational Education: What consultations are the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, planning to open on the week beginning 21 April with employees around any changes to employment roles, employment numbers and any other employment conditions, and when are the consultations scheduled to close?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Tertiary Education Commission consulted on proposed changes to employee roles, numbers and some functions. A consultation document was released to all staff on the 26th of March that proposed to disestablish 52 roles, create 30 new roles with a reduction of 22 roles. Submissions on the proposed changes closed on the 9 April 2025 at 5.00 pm. This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 18034, 18040, 18041, 18043 and 18359 (2025).
