17984 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What consultation, if any, has been undertaken with local councils on the impact of heavier vehicles on local road networks arising from the proposed heavy vehicle rule changes?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that targeted consultation has been undertaken with a subset of Road Controlling Authorities on a range of options being considered.
