17946 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: What inflation rates are used by Kāinga Ora to adjust for inflation when comparing Total Delivery Cost of Housing Delivery System delivered houses against the 2023/24 baseline for traditional redevelopment projects?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities advises me that it used the Building Cost inflation rate of two percent. This rate would allow for the comparison of the real cost to build residential homes between financial years.
