17938 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How many, if any, social housing redirects did the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development approve in each of the past three financial years and so far in the current year and how were these redirects funded?

Hon Chris Bishop: Redirects are defined as properties that Community Housing Providers already manage but have not previously attracted an income-related rent subsidy. This information is publicly available on the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development Website at: - https://www.hud.govt.nz/stats-and-insights/the-government-housing-dashboard/social-housing Redirects are funded from the Social Housing (Multi-category) appropriation.
