Hon Brooke van Velden: On 26 June 2024 I received a briefing titled BR-24-27 Meeting with the United Fire Brigades Association (UFBA). On 4 October 2024 I received a briefing titled BR-24-36 Cabinet paper – approval to consult on recommended additions to Schedule 2 of the Accident Compensation Act, which included Fire and Emergency’s May 2023 submission to MBIE regarding suggested additions to Schedule 2. On 23 January 2026 I received a briefing titled BR-26-01 meeting with the NZPFU, which included an updated regarding recognition of occupational disease including cancer and mental health conditions. FR-24-17 Fortnightly Report for the week ending 20 December 2024 included information about proposed additions to Schedule 2 of the Accident Compensation Act 2001. FR-25-9 Fortnightly Report for the week ending 30 May 2025 included information on conditions removed from proposed Accident Compensation Regulations. FR-25-19 Fortnightly Report for the week ending 17 October 2025 included information regarding Updates to Accident Compensation regulations.
