17881 (2026). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Conservation: Further to PWQ 13992 what advice, if any, has the Minister or his officials provided to the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries or his officials on this Bill?

Hon Tama Potaka: As per my response to WPQ 12612 (2026), my office provided feedback to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries on his draft Cabinet paper "Proposed changes to the Fisheries Act 1996" on 23 July 2025. The Department of Conservation advises that they provided email advice on the Fisheries Amendment Bill to the Ministry for Primary Industries on 16 February 2026, as part of agency consultation once the Bill was drafted.
