17874 (2026). Lan Pham to the Minister of Local Government: Further to 16440 (2026), why did the "short-term and long-term legislative options" need the Environmental Protection Authority Act 2011 to be invoked for them to be progressed?

Hon Simon Watts: As those matters are provided for under the Environmental Protection Authority Act 2011, legislative authority under that Act would have been required for the options to progress.
