17821 (2026). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister of Internal Affairs: Further to her answer to written question 16492 (2026): what activities does Fire and Emergency New Zealand define critical lifesaving activities?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that Fire and Emergency New Zealand is working to the definition of Critical Life Supporting Services set out in the PSC’s Fuel Response Plan 2026: Public Sector Implementation (Draft as of the 28 March 2026). This includes urban and wildfire response, widespread fire response, severe weather event response activity, and natural disaster support.
