17765 (2025). Benjamin Doyle to the Minister for Māori Crown Relations: Te Arawhiti: On what date, if any, did the Minister and the Chief Executives of the agencies they are responsible for, if any, ensure that all staff involved in the development of government regulatory proposals are familiar with the contents of Cabinet Office Circular CO (24) 7 - Impact Analysis Requirements, if at all?
Hon Tama Potaka: As the principal policy advisor on Māori Development, Te Puni Kōkiri is responsible for implementing regulatory impact analysis requirements in its policy advice. I am advised that the Cabinet Office Circular CO (24) alongside Ministry for Regulation guidance and virtual presentations were provided to all policy staff between February and March 2025. I am also advised that Te Puni Kōkiri has established policy quality assurance processes, in line with Government requirements, to assess against these Regulatory Impact Analysis requirements.
