Hon Brooke van Velden: Fire and Emergency does not specifically report to me on the New Zealand Professional Firefighters Union’s (NZPFU) social media posts. As part of its regular reporting, Fire and Emergency provides me with summaries of media activity, which may from time to time include reference to themes arising from a range of sources, including union commentary. The first time a summary of media activity included references to NZPFU commentary was in Fire and Emergency’s Fortnightly Report for the period ended 27 September 2024.
