Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What correspondence, if any, including letters, emails, text messages, WhatsApp, signal, or any other form of electronic communication, has the Minister or any member of their office sent or received with the US embassy or other US officials about the detention of Everlee Wihongi in an ICE facility by date and title?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: We have not had any correspondence with the US Government about the matter. Consular assistance for New Zealanders overseas is provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and is an operational matter for the Ministry.
