17682 (2026). Hon Rachel Brooking to the Minister for Infrastructure: Will the Minister ensure that fast-track consenting processes do not compromise the protection of drinking water in the Hunua Ranges?

Hon Chris Bishop: Any potential environmental effects of Fast-track projects are managed through the setting of conditions by independent expert panels in consultation with relevant parties. As Minister for Infrastructure, I do not have influence over how panels choose to manage these effects.
