17452 (2025). Glen Bennett to the Minister for Tourism and Hospitality: How many, if any, new tourism and hospitality jobs does she expect will be created as a result of the $13.5 million tourism turbocharge announcement?

Hon Louise Upston: Tourism is a crucial part of our focus on economic growth, directly supporting more than 180,000 jobs in the year ending March 2024. The $13.5 million tourism boost initiative is estimated to result in more than 23,000 additional international visitors who will spend an extra $100 million across the country. Direct job creation is not a KPI of this fund.
