17339 (2026). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: Since 1 January 2024, how many complaints alleging bullying or intimidation by senior staff have been received at each of Rimutaka Prison, Auckland Prison, and Christchurch Men’s Prison, if any, and what actions were taken in response, if any?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised Corrections has interpreted ‘senior staff’ as General Managers, Deputy General Managers, and Deputy General Managers Site Pathways. We have interpreted this question as being complaints by staff against senior staff. There are no recorded instances of complaints alleging bullying or intimidation by senior staff at Rimutaka Prison, Christchurch Men's Prison, or Auckland Prison during the period.
