17335 (2026). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: Since 1 January 2024, what total expenditure has been incurred on accommodation, travel, and other allowances for senior staff at Rimutaka Prison, Auckland Prison, and Christchurch Men’s Prison, if any, broken down by category?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Corrections has specific policies for all staff with regards to travel, accommodation and other allowances in place to ensure appropriate, authorised expenditure. I am further advised that the information cannot be filtered by seniority of staff, and to provide this information, officials would be required to manually analyse expenditure on travel, accommodation and expenditure line by line. This would amount to substantial collation and manual analysis, which I am not prepared to ask for the purpose of this response.
