17324 (2026). Hon Julie Anne Genter to the Minister for Building and Construction: What, if any, earthquake-prone building owners are able to claim a rebate under the Investment Boost Scheme and what is the criteria for eligibility?

Hon Chris Penk: I am advised that the Investment Boost can cover improvements to depreciable property, such as seismic strengthening, but only in situations where the building is an income-earning asset (i.e., contributes to taxable income) and not for residential buildings.
