17321 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What is the estimated return on investment per FTE for the Health Payment Integrity Team, if any, and what analysis has been undertaken of the financial impact of cutting these roles?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am pleased to inform the Member that integrating the audit team will increase the number of auditors from HPIT’s 11.8 to a total of 26 auditors in the new integrated team. I am advised the yearly average net return on investment (excluding averted losses) per FTE is $107,835.
