17311 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What safeguards are being put in place to ensure continued fraud detection and prevention in the health system if jobs in the Health Payment Integrity Team are cut?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that integrating the audit team at Health New Zealand will increase the number of auditors from HPIT’s 11.8 to a total of 26 auditors in the new integrated team.
