Hon Nicola Grigg: My statement referred to proposed changes to freshwater national direction. The Government has recently consulted on a range of options to reform how freshwater is managed and protected. For example, this included proposals to introduce requirements for councils to map drinking water sources. I expect these changes to be progressed as part of the new planning system, once legislation replacing the Resource Management Act 1991 is in place.
