17307 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for Regulation: Did the Minister have a conversation with Bryce Wilkinson on or about 11 December 2023 (whether by phone or otherwise); if so what was the contents of that conversation and was a record of the conversation taken?

Hon David Seymour: I believe so, and while I did not keep a record I imagine the conversation drew on Dr Wilkinson’s formidable intellect for the purpose of improving regulatory quality for all New Zealand.
