17305 (2026). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister of Climate Change: What, if anything, does the Minister intend to achieve with the Emissions Trading Scheme by asking for advice from the Climate Change Commission (in his letter of 23 January) about lower auction volumes and/or an increase in auction price floor?

Hon Simon Watts: I asked the Climate Change Commission for advice on lower auction volumes and/or an increase in the auction price floor, as I wanted advice on this matter in advance of government decisions on unit settings this year.
