17287 (2025). Hūhana Lyndon to the Minister for Māori Development: What extra funding, if any, was allocated toward the Whenua Māori Fund to account for the discounting of Te Ringa Hāpai Whenua Fund?

Hon Tama Potaka: I have been advised by Te Puni Kōkiri that no extra funding was allocated specifically to the Whenua Māori Fund in FY2024/25. Investment priorities were set across the Māori Development Fund appropriation, including improving the productivity of Iwi and Māori assets. Landowners who may have previously applied for Te Ringa Hāpai funding have been able to apply to the Māori Development Fund.
