Steve Abel to the Associate Minister of Agriculture: What correspondence, if any, has the Minister had with businesses or organisations regarding the application of animal welfare standards to imported products or the Animal Products (Closing the Welfare Gap) Amendment Bill, by correspondent and date?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: My office handles a high volume of communications each week and compiling a detailed record of this would require significant time and resources. I do not believe that listing each communication represents a good use of staff time.
