17226 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: How many, if any, subject exemplars for SMART (Student Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting Tool) delivered assessments have been produced, either entirely or partly, using Artificial Intelligence (AI)?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that Artificial intelligence (AI) was used to assist with the initial drafting of eight subject exemplars for SMART delivered assessments. In all cases, AI generated material was treated as preliminary only and was subject to comprehensive human review, refinement, and final approval by Ministry of Education assessment specialists and subject matter experts before publication
