17225 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Energy: What consultation, if any, has been undertaken with iwi, hapū, and affected communities regarding the proposed amendments to the Offshore Renewable Energy Bill, listed by date and whom?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that an online hui was held with representatives of Ngā iwi o Taranaki, Ngāti Ruanui, Ngāruahine, Ngā Rauru Kiitahi, Te Ātiawa Taranaki, Ngāti Maru, Ngāti Mutunga on 21 Aug 2025. Feedback was sought on the proposed policy approach for amendments to the Bill.
