17221 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Vocational Education: How many staff in FTE terms were employed in each Institute of Technology and Polytechnic division of Te Pūkenga, as at 31 December 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I refer the member to the attached table which sets out the full-time equivalent (FTE) staff for each institute of technology and polytechnic (ITP) from 2017-2020. The Tertiary Education Commission does not hold FTE information for individual ITP business divisions for 2021 or 2022, which was after the establishment of Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology and is not immediately available to be sourced from Te Pūkenga. Information would need to be sourced from individual ITP business divisions which could not be completed in the time allocated to respond to a written parliamentary question.
