Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that in the 2022/23 financial year, 95 complaints contained an issue relating to ‘Insufficient Action in response to a Report of Concern’ noting that this does not reflect the outcome of the complaint review. I am further advised that this category is used when a report of concern is closed after an initial assessment and the response is ‘no further action’ as Oranga Tamariki does not consider that it is necessary to complete further assessment or investigation.
