17119 (2025). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Finance: What is the total annual cost to the Crown, if any, of any pay equity claims in each of the public and funded sectors that have been settled since November 2023?

Hon Nicola Willis: The total annual cost to the Crown of pay equity claims in the public sector that have been settled since November 2023 was $4.269 million in financial year 2023/24, and approximately $4 million per annum from 2024/25. The total annual cost to the Crown of pay equity claims in the funded sector that have been settled since November 2023 is zero as no funded sector claims have settled and received government funding for settlement since that date.
