17083 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: How, if at all, does the Ministry of Education mandate the provision and use of Internal Environment Monitoring (IEM) devices in schools?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that schools are encouraged to use Internal Environment Monitoring (IEM) devices provided by the Ministry. However, their use is only mandated for new or redeveloped teaching spaces as per the Designing Quality Learning Spaces (DQLS) standards.
