17050 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: What was the nature of the work, if any was done, by Immigration NZ, MBIE or any other relevant party on the subject of monitoring or addressing migrant exploitation during the week of March 24th 2025?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that all staff within the Immigration Compliance and Investigations branch work on aspects of migrant exploitation including taking compliance and enforcement actions, triaging allegations, investigating employers and deporting offenders to help prevent further offending and maintain the integrity of the wider system.
