17044 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: What is the total amount, if any, of individuals who arrived into New Zealand on a Work To Residence Visa during the week of March 24 2025?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that during the week of 24 March 2025 to 30 March 2025, a total of two individuals arrived in New Zealand on a Work to Residence Visa (comprising both residence and temporary entry class Work to Residence Visa holders). First arrivals under the skilled residence Work to Residence pathway are likely to be low due to the requirement to have worked in New Zealand for 24 months and therefore most are granted visas while onshore.
