17041 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Housing: How much, if any, did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, spend on the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the 2023/24 financial year?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kainga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that in the 2023/24 financial year Kainga Ora spent approximately 1/3 FTE to undertake its emissions inventory and $58,000 plus GST for the annual emissions inventory audit. During 2023/24, Kainga Ora spent $17.3m gross on fleet electrification, which contributed to achieving the CNGP carbon reduction targets, with this spending partially offset by $2.7m received in clean car discount rebates and subsidies from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority.
