17037 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Energy: How much, if any, did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, spend on the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the 2023/24 financial year?

Hon Simeon Brown: I have been informed, that the Electricity Authority, as an Independent Crown Entity, is not mandated under the Carbon Neutral Government Programme. I am further advised that EECA, for the 2023/24 financial year, spent $7,413,000 on related expenditure for contractual arrangements under Carbon Neutral Government Programme (M037). EECA also spent $1,001,000 over the 2023/24 financial year, funding projects under the related State Sector Decarbonisation Fund (M034). EECA also spent $5,532 over the 2023/24 financial year to comply with the Carbon Neutral Government Programme as an organisation.
