17033 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Customs: How much, if any, did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, spend on the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the 2023/24 financial year?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that, in the 2023/24 financial year, the New Zealand Customs Service’s (Customs) budget for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme was $40,000. At the conclusion of the 2023/24 financial year, Customs had spent $38,648 from this budget. Customs’ budget for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme is inclusive of the Border Executive Board Secretariat.
