17019 (2026). Steve Abel to the Associate Minister of Agriculture: What reasons, if any, did the government have for not resuming live animal exports at sea?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: There is, as yet, no consensus among Ministers on proposed new legislation. Considering the packed legislative agenda, the government’s priorities are better served by focusing on other programmes such as resource management reform.
