Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Transport: How many staff in the Minister's departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that are responsible to the Minister, if any, that had responding to or processing Official Information Act requests as a core part of their job description, if any, lost their jobs or were restructured out of their roles into a role where OIA requests were not a core part of their role, between 27 November 2023 and 31 December 2024?

Hon Chris Bishop: For the agencies for which I am responsible the Ministry of Transport has advised that one staff member whose role primarily involved responding to Official Information Act (OIA) requests was restructured into a different role within the Ministry, where handling OIA requests is not a core responsibility. I am advised that at NZTA, no staff whose role primarily involved responding to Official Information Act (OIA) requests was restructured.
