16961 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Further to reply 12080 (2026), which rescue helicopter bases, if any, currently hold less than two weeks of aviation fuel reserves?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that as at 23 April 2026, two emergency air ambulance helicopter bases held less than two weeks of aviation fuel reserves based on current utilisation rates: • Tauranga base – approximately 1.8 weeks • Taupo base – approximately 1.7 weeks I am further advised that both bases were due for refuelling at the time of reporting, and operators have confirmed that refuelling orders have been placed. No other bases reported fuel reserves of less than two weeks.
