Hon Nicola Willis: I acknowledge that all public servants have responsibilities under the Official Information Act (OIA). With regard to the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment I am advised that many staff contribute to the processing of OIA requests at various stages as a normal part of their duties. For the purpose of responding to your question, MBIE has focused on employees based in Ministerial Services teams for each of its Business Groups. I am advised that no staff within these teams have lost their jobs or were restructured out of their roles into a role where OIA requests were not a core part of their role, between 27 November 2023 and 31 December 2024. With regard to New Zealand Growth Capital Partners, I am also advised that no staff within these roles at NZGCP have lost their jobs or were restructured out of their roles into a role where OIA requests were not a core part of their role, between 27 November 2023 and 31 December 2024.
