16859 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Associate Minister for Energy: Further to WPQ 11813 (2026), what decisions, if any, did the Minister make as a result of the advice he sought?

Hon Shane Jones: As a result of the advice I sought, I directed officials to convene the Fuel Sector Coordination Entity to engage with fuel importers and distributors, improve visibility of fuel supply chains, and test industry contingency planning. I also agreed to continue enhanced monitoring of fuel supply conditions, engagement with industry and international partners, and preparation of advice to support Cabinet colleagues.
