16846 (2026). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister intend to pursue any legislative changes, to the Fair Trading Act or other legislation, so that online subscriptions can be cancellable via the same channel used to opt in, and if so, when?

Cameron Brewer: The Government has announced work to deter underhand business practices and strengthen consumer protections through amendments to the Fair Trading Act 1986.
