16818 (2026). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister consider current enforcement against greenwashing adequate; if not, why?
Cameron Brewer: Where a given example of greenwashing amounts to misleading or deceptive conduct, it is for the Commerce Commission, acting in the public interest, to assess whether to use its resources to pursue a penalty or other outcome.
