16813 (2026). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does the Minister support stronger penalties for breaches of director duties; if yes, what changes are needed?

Cameron Brewer: The Government has requested the Law Commission to review directors’ duties and related liability settings. Once the Commission has reported back, I will consider its recommendations and whether any changes to the law are required.
